UEP’s SIGLAT is the university’s Flagship program bearing its commitment to Sustainable Development Goals for social change. Under the program, every UEPian is empowered to take actions by creating impactful solutions to address global challenges like poverty, climate change, and environmental degradation, aiming for a more sustainable and peaceful future by 2030. SIGLAT includes SDG-aligned initiatives that involve active community participation, ensuring that the institution is responsive to the United Nation's call to action.
This initiative aligns with the university's vision and mission in honing professionals that will bring sustainable measures in the glocal communities. SIGLAT also facilitates the university in producing morally responsible individuals who can become agents of responsible and sustainable use of the environment’s resources, thereby reflecting the values of marunong and malinis.
The University of Eastern Pangasinan is committed to fostering highly competent professionals and morally responsible individuals. Our Institutional Development Plan (IDP) directly aligns with the SDGs through five key result areas: Instruction, Research, Extension, Internationalization, and Governance.
